Die IBM Zeit-Stempelmaschine wurde zum Beispiel in Sekretariaten und Einsatzsteuerungen benutzt, um das Eingangsdatum und die Eingangszeit auf Dokumente zu stempeln. Man nannte sie auch den “Frosch”.
 In der Maschine lief eine Synchronuhr und sorgte dafür, daß die Stempeleinheit im Kopf der Maschine immer die richtigen Werte (Datum und Zeit) andrucken konnte.
 Das Dokument wurde unter die Öffnung gelegt und durch Druck auf den Maschinenkopf wurde gestempelt.

 The IBM Time Stamp machine has been used for example by secretaries and call centers, to stamp the incoming time and date to the documents. It was also called the “frog” because of its design.
 In the machine was a synchronous clock movement, that kept the correct data (Time and Date) on the print wheels.
The document was placed under the opening and by pressing the machine head time and date was stamped to the document.
