Edmond Mathey-Tissot gründete 1886 in Les Ponts-de-Martel (Kanton Neuchátel) eine Uhrenfabrikation. Im Jahr 1914 war Mathey-Tissot am Kew  Observatory Wettbewerb mit sechs Chronometern vertreten, die alle mit  ”€žbesonders gut” bewertet wurden. Im gleichen Jahr gewann Mathey-Tissot  den Grand Prix der Schweizerischen Landesausstellung. Während des Ersten Weltkrieges belieferte das Unternehmen das United States Army Corps of  Engineers mit Präzisions - Chronographen. Mathey-Tissot war ein  Schweizer Uhrenhersteller hochwertiger Uhren und arbeitete meist für große, bekannte Unternehmen. Im Cartier-Privatmuseum gibt es  einen Reisewecker mit Acht-Tage-Werk von Mathey-Tissot, urspünglich  erworben von der Herzogin von Windsor (Cartier Inv. Nr. 21 CT-C40). Die  Firma war Hauptlieferant von Elvis Presley für Armbanduhren, im Glasreif stand ELVIS PRESLEY.

Edmond Mathey-Tissot founded 1886 in Les Ponts-de-Martel (Kanton Neuchátel) a watch factory. In 1914 Mathey-Tissot participated in the Kew  Observatory competition with six Chronometers, all of them were rated  ”€žextremely good”. In the same year Mathey-Tissot  won the Grand Prix of the Swiss Country Exhibition. During the first World War they delivered Precision Chronographs to the United States Army Corps of  Engineers. Mathey-Tissot was a Swiss manufacturer of high class watches and worked mostly for big companies. In the Cartier-Private Museum is a travel alarm clock with eight days movement of  Mathey-Tissot, originally bought by the Duchess of Windsor (Cartier Inv. Nr. 21 CT-C40).They were also main producer of watches for  Elvis Presley, in the glas rim was engraved ELVIS PRESLEY.
